Well, just checked the website--the choir is singing, and my mom's in the choir now, and I know she always has in past years wanted a morning service and my dad's a PK (preacher's kid) so I think we'll be going. I'm not sure we need Sunday school too, but whatever. It will be nice to go to church on the day of Christmas, methinks.
But the OD is doing a "worship scattering" (spend time with family) as opposed to a "worship gathering." I'm not too crazy about the idea, but I will be in Virginia, so I'm not one to complain.
I'm a work in progress librarian. I love books, Jesus, and apple strudel. I've traveled the world only to discover that I adore Pittsburgh, PA. I attempt most days to work out my life with fear and trembling. I write about books, shoes, Carrie Bradshaw, and an occasional post about the Psalms. I also have a dark side, so watch out!

(OK, this time w/o typos...)
Wait. Whoa. Stop.
There are churches NOT "doing business" on Christmas Day?!?!?! Really?

This is mental. This way lies madness.

OK, you do realize that this is totally, mind-blowingly alien to me, right?
This is like giving cops the day off on New Year's or closing up Mexican restaurants on May 5th.
Does. Not. Compute.

You obviously have your head screwed on right. It's the rest of the world that's going loco.
