Home is the sailor, home from sea, and the hunter home from the hill. (Updated)

(Robert Louis Stevenson)

Back in the garret!! I had 5 phone messages, and every single one was a politician telling me who to vote for in the primaries tomorrow. Ugh.
*****
(Tuesday noon) On the way home yesterday, stopped in one of my favorite historical towns, Fort Ligonier. They have the best shops! I picked up a k.d. lang cassette for a buck fifty at a resale shop (a God-send as my car radio is dying and less able to pick up the barely pickupable stations across Pennsylvania.)

These tulips were begging for their picture to be taken--aren't they lovely? I'll write more about my trek northwest to Southwestern PA in the days to come.

Lunch, and then vote. Then off to ze job.

Vote for whoever promises to eliminate the city income tax. (That still has me amazed.)

What gets me is that every time I go to vote, I think I'm voting for x y and z and then there's a whole category that I'm supposed to vote for, judges or something...

also, this time we had the new computerized voting machines.

I hope they gave you a printout confirming your vote. Those fricky-fracken computers.... grrrrrr.

I love your tulips! Thanks! Ours our done here. If I ever DON'T have a shotgun wedding *ahem* I will have a wedding bouquet of tulips.

No print-out, just the stub. (Which I got before I was escorted to the machine.)I used computers when I lived in Falls Church, VA and they didn't give you a print-out either. So I'm not worried.

I'll sign this "perhaps too trusting in technology,"

Oh, and the tulips are from Fort Ligonier. Tulips are pretty much gone in Pittsburgh too.

Well, it was only the primaries. I absolve you.
