The only snag is that it is a 703 area code (Virginia) and I live in Pittsburgh, but for two more years on the family plan at ~$17, I'll take it.

yeah, anything phone related at $17 is a gimmie. Take it and run!! Besides, if most of your buddies have the same carrier, it's all free no matter what the area code is (at least that's true with Verizon).

Most of my buddies have Verizon and I have Cingular, but hey, you can't win EVERY time.

$17! Take it and RUN. RUN, I tell you. All States (contiguous, at least) are free with whatever phone service that Zeta-Jones shills for, at least.
