(Cuz I got it from a guy who graduated from Pitt in 93 and by 95 lived in Bellevue with other guys)

I did notice some writing as it was on my sidewalk, but I don't remember it being "I love Duane."

how small a world it is, esp. in da Burgh (I always say, in a world of 6 degrees of separation, Pgh is a 1 degree kind of town.)

xo,

SLSarah Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00251034210962259082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13076516.post-71461376843210711522008-07-14T22:33:00.000-04:002008-07-14T22:33:00.000-04:00Oh my God! I think that was the sofa my ex-husband and his bachelor friends left in their apartment when they graduated from CMU!

Look under the cushions...if the deck of the sofa has "I love Duane" in sharpie marker...that's it!

No...I didn't write it. I didn't even like Duane although he would have been a better catch than my ex was...Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16508488901278114809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13076516.post-2496591156090116172008-07-13T20:44:00.000-04:002008-07-13T20:44:00.000-04:00Erin--thanks! I do have a lot of good memories.

Cuileann--Oakland is the neighborhood in Pgh where the University of Pittsburgh, almost all the hospitals, and Carlow College are. When I was a freshman, there was some event (an earthquake) in the Calif. Oakland and I was confused.

xo,

SLSarah Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00251034210962259082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13076516.post-79236490393445752782008-07-13T18:15:00.000-04:002008-07-13T18:15:00.000-04:00What is this about Oakland? Oakland as in the city near San Francisco, or some other entity?

: Do all starting out librarians have furniture they got at second hand shops or off the curb? The thing of it is, I love each piece. Since I'm "head of household" I make all the choices. It is too small of an apartment for me to consider anything I wouldn't like. Plus, you know, the whole third floor walk up scenario. Ai.:
That's pretty sweet.Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01120903510222043127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13076516.post-64068288160345602812008-07-13T09:39:00.000-04:002008-07-13T09:39:00.000-04:00I've got a sofa-bed (and matching chair) from the ...I've got a sofa-bed (and matching chair) from the 40's in my living room. Turquoise. Yes. Many friends have offered furniture to me after they have visited, but I really love these pieces... so they stay.

But it sounds like it is really time for yours to move on out. Hopefully you'll hang onto the good memories (all the movies you love watched on that couch), and leave behind the not-so-good ones.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12979627849688965995noreply@blogger.com
